About Irwin
Irwin Gordon is a “natural singer.” This talent was exhibited at an early age when he was invited to a CBS studio school, the Ann Falk Studios, in New York, NY. That influence helped him develop musical performance skills. During his formative years, music played an important role. As time went on, his life with a growing family and thriving business caused him to put the music on a back burner. After semi-retiring from a successful business career, and with encouragement from family and friends, Irwin re-entered the music world at full force. He studied with top musicians, honed his craft and began performing again. He has since recorded seven CD albums and is currently working on an eighth, all with very respected jazz musicians including Lou Colombo, Joe Delaney and Ted Casher. Irwin is known for the depth and quality of his voice. Although, sometimes mistaken for Frank Sinatra, he takes that sound and enhances it with his own style and makes it come alive. He grabs his audiences every time he belts out “My Way,” “New York, New York,” “Girl from Ipanema,” “That’s Life,” or any of the hundreds of tunes embedded in his memory that he can bring forth at the drop of a hat. He is also famous for his a cappella rendition of “If I were a Rich Man” that leaves people clapping and cheering. His work includes charity benefits, town holiday performances, guest appearances, restaurant events, radio spots, veteran events and parties. He has also co-taught a Music History series at Florida Atlantic University about American classic jazz singers. You can catch Irwin performing in many Florida and New York venues. In addition, he is currently working with a 20-piece orchestra/jazz ensemble in South Florida. You can listen to his music for free at any time on his website or you can buy it on iTunes, or Amazon.
